Cliff House

Situated somewhat precariously on Point Lobos overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Cliff House is home to a restaurant, bar, and the Musée Mécanique. The land-side exterior of the building was, in the early 1970s, decorated with an expansive mural depicting crashing waves, painted by artist-musicians Michael Cotten and Prairie Prince.

Archie Ransom and Mitch Hort met John Ritchie, Noble Grand Humbug of E Clampus Vitus, at Cliff House for lunch. There, they found material evidence pointing to the one-time existence of Emperor Norton I.
