David Rocco

Marshall’s bagman and bodyguard. Born and raised in rural Oregon, David was drafted into the Army in 1966 and served two tours in Vietnam. He developed a heroin habit toward the end of his service; upon returning to the States, this turned into a full-blown addiction. By early ‘73, Dave was almost destitute, working whatever odd jobs he could find to support his drug and alcohol habits, and contemplating suicide. While listening to the radio one night, Dave happened to hear Marshall’s conversation with Frank DiGiuseppe. He decided the next day to seek out this guru who professed empathy for the men who served in ‘Nam.

With Marshall’s assistance, Dave has largely cleaned himself up, found purpose, and treats his trauma with a variety of prescription medications. After the events at Mount Shasta, Marshall elected to bring Dave into the fold, somewhat. Dave now believes Marshall (and he, by association) work in a clandestine capacity for the US government, hunting psychics as part of the Cold War against the Soviets.
