The Mental Research Institute

 

The Mental Research Institute, or MRI, is a counseling center that focuses on family therapy and psychiatric studies located in Palo Alto. Founded in 1958 by Don Jackson, MRI initially functioned along traditional psychotherapeutic lines before growing its practice into more experimental and radical mental health treatment. Genevieve Abeille was one of the part-time family therapists on staff.
